Job summary

Outlier is seeking a remote QA coder to help train AI models by reviewing AI-generated code, rating model responses, and crafting computer science prompts. The program is open to applicants from Latin America and beyond, offered as a 1099 contract on the Outlier.ai platform.

You will work flexibly, reviewing code quality and contributing prompts to push AI capabilities, with competitive hourly pay and incentive opportunities. No prior AI experience is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from a selective institution.
• Software engineering experience contributing to a live production codebase.
• Ability to articulate complex concepts fluently in written and spoken English.

Responsibilities

• Review AI-generated code and flag errors, inconsistencies, or quality issues using structured guidelines.
• Rate and rank model responses across key dimensions — accuracy, instruction following, and presentation.
• Write computer science questions: develop clear, well-structured prompts that challenge AI models.
