Job summary

Ross Stores, Inc. is seeking an Engineer II to design, develop, and support modern full-stack applications using Angular for front-ends and Spring Boot for back-end services.

You will build scalable RESTful APIs, implement cloud-enabled solutions, and collaborate with product owners and architects to deliver reliable software. You will translate designs with Figma, participate in CI/CD pipelines, and apply secure coding practices while supporting production systems and performance improvements

Qualifications

• 7+ years of software engineering with hands-on full-stack development
• Strong proficiency in Angular and Spring Boot for enterprise apps
• Experience with cloud-native/hybrid apps, preferably Azure
• Understanding of modern architecture, UI components, and scalable systems
• Experience translating designs into responsive, accessible UIs
• Proficiency with source control, automated testing, and CI/CD practices
• Experience leveraging AI-assisted development tools to improve productivity
• Collaborative in Agile teams and solution delivery

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain full-stack apps using Angular and Spring Boot
• Build Azure cloud-native and on-premises solutions that are scalable and secure
• Develop reusable frontend components and backend services
• Collaborate with product owners, UX designers, and engineers to deliver end-to-end solutions
• Translate UX designs into user experiences using Figma
• Leverage AI-assisted tools to improve productivity and code quality
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and automated tests (GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, Jenkins)
• Apply secure coding practices, accessibility, and performance improvements
• Troubleshoot and support production applications for reliability
• Develop solutions supporting retail business processes and customer experiences
• Integrate AI-powered features into applications with architects/teams
