Job summary

WorkOS is seeking a frontend-leaning Product Engineer to shape Passport, enabling simple access to work apps with strong admin controls. You will influence what gets built and see features through from design to production, directly collaborating with customers across identity and device workflows.

You will operate in an AI-native engineering environment, delivering high-quality, scalable UI experiences with careful consideration of security and usability for enterprise customers.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of industry software development experience.
• Strong frontend engineering: accessible interfaces, fast interactions, and robust UI states.
• Full-stack capability: design APIs, data models, authorization, and debugging.
• Strong product sense and judgment: identify customer needs and make tradeoffs.
• Strong product taste: shape workflows, defaults, and intuitive actions.
• Clear communication and independent judgment in ambiguity.
• Bonus: Identity, authentication, authorization, or enterprise integrations (SAML, OIDC, SCIM).
• Bonus: Desktop applications or device-management workflows.
• Bonus: B2B SaaS, developer tools, or early-stage product with first customers.

Responsibilities

• Work directly with customers, solutions engineering, and GTM teams to understand identity and device setups, identify friction, and prioritize improvements.
• Build onboarding and access-management experiences that help employees start quickly and administrators manage access confidently.
• Own features from implementation through release and iteration, making pragmatic technical tradeoffs.
• Collaborate with designers, backend engineers, and security engineers to simplify and secure complex access workflows.
• Help shape how AI agents access company tools, coordinating with adjacent product teams.
