Front Row is seeking a detail-oriented Freelance Content Editor to refine writer-submitted content, ensuring quality, clarity, tone, and brand alignment. You will work with the Managing Editor to apply guidelines in a remote, non-client-facing role, developing editorial skills in a supportive environment.

The position is remote for USA-based candidates, requiring 1–2 years of content editing or related experience, with familiarity with SEO or organic social content as a plus.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of experience in content editing, writing, marketing, journalism or a related field.
• Strong foundational editing skills and excellent attention to detail.
• A good command of written English, with the ability to adapt tone and improve clarity.
• A collaborative, coachable mindset and willingness to take direction and act on feedback.
• Strong time-management and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple pieces of content.

Responsibilities

• Edit writer-submitted content for grammar, spelling, clarity, tone and brand alignment.
• Follow editorial guidelines and use provided resources to ensure consistency and quality.
• Incorporate feedback from the Managing Editor and apply learnings to future assignments.
• Review content carefully, identifying errors, inconsistencies and opportunities to improve readability.
• Manage multiple assignments, organise workloads and meet deadlines.
• Collaborate with the editorial team to maintain high standards across all deliverables.
