Job summary

Edison Smart® is seeking a Free Space Optical Design Engineer to lead the optical design life cycle for high-energy laser and directed energy systems. This hands-on role covers architecture, first-order layouts, STOP analyses, tolerancing, drawings, integration and test.

The ideal candidate will be proficient with Code V or Zemax and have experience with lens relays and reflective telescope optics, in a remote position with occasional travel for office work and security clearance eligibility.

Qualifications

• STOP analysis experience required.
• Hands-on optical design experience across architecture, layouts, tolerancing and test.
• Experience with complex lens relays and reflective telescope optics.
