Destination Pet is seeking a Financial Analyst to join the Operations Support team. You will act as a finance partner to operating leaders, translating financial results into actionable operational decisions and owning the forecast for multiple locations.

You will shape planning with AI-enabled forecasting, drive driver-based models, and build scalable reporting for leadership. This role emphasizes business impact and direct collaboration with operations teams.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years in FP&A, corporate finance, or analytical role.
• Advanced Excel with strong modeling skills.
• "Strong PowerPoint" for executive-ready decks.
• Ability to trace financial outcomes to operational decisions.
• Comfort with imperfect data and acting on numbers.
• Curiosity about AI and automation; self-directed learning.
• Directness in communicating opinions and recommendations.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the finance partner to operating leaders before decisions are made.
• Connect financial results to staffing, capacity, pricing, and service mix.
• Diagnose variances and present actionable recommendations.
• Test growth initiatives with defensible economics and ROI.
• Own monthly and quarterly operating forecast for assigned portfolio.
• Support annual budget and long-range planning processes.
• Build and improve recurring reporting and executive materials.
• Identify manual work and automate via better models or AI workflows.
