Job summary

CFG Health Systems, LLC is seeking a licensed Psychiatrist to provide comprehensive psychiatric care at Cumberland County DOC in Bridgeton, NJ. The role involves assessments, diagnoses, treatment planning, medication management, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams in a correctional setting.

The position requires a New Jersey license, potential for forensic evaluator designation, and experience in inpatient/outpatient care.

Qualifications

• Must be a licensed Psychiatrist in New Jersey.
• Forensic Evaluator designation preferred.
• Experience providing psychiatric services in inpatient and/or outpatient settings.
• Experience in correctional healthcare or forensic settings preferred.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.
• Ability to interact effectively with institutional staff, medical personnel, and court agencies.
• Must successfully complete a background investigation.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement clinical programs with psychologists and other mental health professionals.
• Provide full range of psychiatric services: assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, ongoing management.
• Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications and provide medication management.
• Analyze patient data/test results to determine mental disorder nature and severity.
• Collaborate with physicians, psychologists, social workers, nurses, and others to coordinate plans.
• Gather and maintain comprehensive patient information including social, medical, and psychiatric history.
• Conduct or review laboratory and diagnostic tests to assess patient condition.
• Participate in treatment team meetings and adjust plans when patients refuse treatment.
• Conduct and review forensic evaluations as required.
• Provide crisis intervention training to staff.
• Ensure 24-hour coverage and on-call responsibilities as assigned.
