Job summary

FHI 360, a global development NGO, seeks a foreign attorney for a USA-remote role. You will support the Office of General Counsel with non-U.S. law analysis, contract drafting, governance, and cross-border transactions.

This position requires an international law background, a law degree, and admission outside the United States, with 3–5 years of relevant experience across jurisdictions. You will collaborate with internal teams and outside counsel, manage records, and contribute to compliance

Qualifications

• Admitted to practice law outside the United States.
• 3–5 years of international practice or equivalent experience.
• Experience drafting and negotiating contracts and handling corporate governance matters.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and SharePoint; able to liaise with outside counsel.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and revise contracts and other legal documents.
• Provide non-U.S. legal analysis and research; escalate to U.S.-licensed attorneys as needed.
• Oversee corporate insurance program support and renewals.
• Prepare corporate minutes, resolutions, and governance documents for subsidiaries and affiliates.
• Support cross-border NGO operations with donor compliance guidance and contract flowdowns.
• Coordinate outside counsel in foreign jurisdictions and manage litigation trackers.
• Maintain corporate filings, licenses, and records; support tax filings where applicable.
• Assist with data privacy and cross-border data transfer issues.
