Job summary

AE Studio, a 160-person ML consultancy, seeks a hands-on leader to turn abstract research into concrete roadmaps. You will drive projects end-to-end, unblock technical teams, and ensure visibility to leadership, collaborators, and funders.

Remote-first with flexible schedules and opportunities to shape future research tracks. You will coordinate with researchers, engineers, clients, and funders, driving initiatives in AI alignment and scalable automation, while thriving in a fast-paced startup

Qualifications

• Experience managing complex technical projects, including research.
• Working knowledge of AI/ML systems.
• Ability translate fluently between engineers, researchers, clients and funders.
• Takes initiative and owns results end to end.
• Cares about AI alignment and believes progress is possible.
• Eager to use AI tools and automate tasks where possible.

Responsibilities

• Own research acceleration projects end to end from idea to roadmap.
• Keep technical teams unblocked and moving fast; track progress for leadership and funders.
• Coordinate between engineers, researchers, clients and sponsors; manage multiple stakeholders.
• Identify dead ends early and redirect toward highest upside directions.
• Potentially lead a Skunkworks spinout, new research track, or internal product.
