Job summary

DIRECTV is offering a 10-week remote Summer Intern role in Tax, enabling you to work on internal tax processes and analytics that impact net income. You will analyze tax drivers, assist with reporting from Snowflake, and present insights to leaders.

The program emphasizes data storytelling, cross-functional collaboration, and strong Excel/PPT skills. Eligible students must have U.S. work authorization and pursue Tax/Accounting/Finance degrees.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a 4-year undergraduate degree or advanced degree in Tax, Accounting or Finance.
• Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills with data visualization ability.
• Experience in data analytics and presenting insights to leaders.
• Proficiency in SQL is a plus; strong written and verbal communication.
• Experience with virtual, cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Support internal tax processes and software development.
• Perform analytical work to understand drivers of tax values and legislation impact.
• Create SQL reports from Snowflake and develop Power BI visuals.
• Document processes from ideation to deliverable and communicate insights.
