Job summary

WaterConnect is seeking a meticulous Finance and Accounting Manager to safeguard and strengthen the financial foundation of its high-impact infrastructure investment platform. You will oversee treasury, banking relationships, and financial reporting while ensuring robust controls and timely close processes.

In collaboration with Water.org's finance team, you will support consolidation and maintain financial integrity to back WaterConnect's mission.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
5+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience including treasury, financial reporting, and close processes.
Professional accounting qualification (e.g., CPA, CMA, CA, ACCA) or equivalent demonstrated expertise.
Strong working knowledge of US GAAP and/or IFRS, with consolidation experience.
Experience with banking relationships, treasury operations, and liquidity management.
Experience with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory bodies; familiarity with international tax considerations.
Ability to design, implement, and enforce sound accounting procedures and internal controls.
Proficiency with accounting software or ERP systems and advanced Excel skills.
Self-driven, detail-oriented, and able to work in a small, virtual team.
Strong written and verbal communication across global teams.
Commitment to social and environmental impact.
Proficient in English.

Responsibilities

Oversee bank accounts and payments to vendors, projects, intercompanies, payroll, and reimbursements.
Manage liquidity monitoring and forecast cash flows.
Maintain banking relationships, auditors, and tax advisors.
