Command Investigations, LLC is seeking Surveillance Investigators to join our field team serving the Roanoke, Virginia area. This role conducts on-the-road surveillance, documents activities with video and notes, and prepares client-ready reports under tight deadlines.

Qualifications

• 1+ years (minimum 2,000 hours) of Private Investigator experience
• Must be 21 years or older
• Valid driver’s license with clean DMV record
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Computer skills including uploading video/images into an electronic system
• Personal auto insurance with 100k/300k/100k limits
• Able to work independently with strong customer service and discretion
• Willingness to travel and work varied schedules including early starts

Responsibilities

• Conduct field surveillance investigations by observing, tracking, and documenting subjects’ activities
• Perform vehicular and on-foot surveillance with discretion
• Develop and execute pre-surveillance planning for each location
• Record and document findings through video and detailed reports
• Capture subjects in public spaces, events, and workplaces
• Submit reports and video evidence within required timeframes
• Communicate with team leaders about positions and strategy
• Utilize surveillance equipment and investigative software
• Maintain confidentiality and comply with safety and legal requirements
