Job summary

Astrophysics Inc. seeks a Field Service Technician to install, maintain, and repair our X-Ray security systems at client locations from Sacramento, CA. The role emphasizes on-site service, travel, and delivering exceptional customer support.

Candidates should have an electronics/engineering background with 2–7 years of field service experience, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to communicate clearly in English. A security clearance may be required.

Qualifications

• 2–7 years of technical support or field service experience.
• Associate or bachelor degree in electronics, computer engineering, or related field.
• Ability to travel to customer locations.
• Fluent written and spoken English.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret-level security clearance if required.

Responsibilities

• Install, and perform preventative and corrective maintenance on-site.
• Complete service documentation and reports.
• Test equipment to diagnose malfunctions and replace parts.
• Input data into service databases.
• Prepare equipment and documentation prior to arriving on-site.
• Provide training and customer support.
