Job summary

Atlas Copco Compressors LLC -North America Customer Center is seeking a Service Technician to serve customers in the field. You will perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot and repair air compressors and related equipment, install systems, and support customers with options for repairs or upgrades.

You will attend training at the Air Academy, follow safety procedures, and work with a team to ensure high-quality service. A High School Diploma is required; EPA certification is a plus.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of technical experience in mechanical, maintenance, or electrical field.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Customer-focused with ownership mindset.
• Proficient with computers for work orders and parts ordering.
• Must supply basic tools.
• Occasional travel to Rock Hill, SC for paid training.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and work in industrial environments.
• Basic understanding of mechanics and electrical theory.
• Valid driver's license; fluent in English.
• Residence within 30–60 minutes of assigned territory; company vehicle parking must be at home.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine preventive service, troubleshoot and repair air compressors, dryers, drains, controllers, and low-pressure blowers.
• Set, install, and pipe compressor systems.
• Learn about VSDs, refrigeration, remote monitoring, and air audits.
• Maintain clean equipment pads and surroundings.
• Communicate service options and document all service activities and forms.
• Attend Air Academy training with senior technicians and practice safety procedures.
• Respond to customer needs and provide high-level service; participate in rotating on-call shifts.
