Job summary

Elekta, a leader in high-tech medical equipment, seeks an Associate Field Service Engineer. You will perform troubleshooting, calibration and maintenance on radiotherapy devices, read schematics, and ensure strict safety and QA standards.

Must travel up to 100% with a focus on customer satisfaction and professional representation. Ideal candidates hold an electronics/physics background, strong electro-mechanical aptitude, and familiarity with test equipment.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent in Electronics, Physics or related discipline.
• Good electro-mechanical aptitude.
• Computer literate with test equipment proficiency.
• Proficiency with oscilloscopes and multimeters.
• Willing to travel and work unsociable hours.

Responsibilities

• Perform low risk troubleshooting and repairs with a 50% success rate diagnosing the problem following escalation procedures.
• Perform supervised calibrations and preventative maintenance on the designated modality.
• Work safely in confined areas, including high current/high voltage modulators (20-50 kV, 1500A).
• Read, analyze, interpret and follow blueprints, schematics and wiring diagrams.
• Submit service reports, timesheets, expense reports and other paperwork.
• Parts inventory management and maintain company equipment and tools.
• Provide feedback to home office and adhere to Elekta directives and policies.
