Job summary

CAL-CERT is seeking a Calibration Technician – Field Service to calibrate equipment at customer sites and in our shop. You will ensure accuracy, document calibrations, and maintain compliance with ISO 17025 standards while supporting clients remotely and on-site across Missouri and the US.

The ideal candidate has a mechanical/technical background with calibration exposure, strong communication, and a readiness to travel.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience with Electrical, Physical, and/or Mechanical Calibration of equipment.
• Able to lift 50 lbs, climb, kneel, drive, and stand for long periods of time.
• Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation for field service travel.
• Demonstrated ability to learn mechanical and technical skills quickly.
• Experience working in a technical or mechanical position.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Good organizational and prioritization skills.

Responsibilities

• Complete accurate and timely calibrations both in our shop and at customer sites in the field.
• Perform all duties in accordance with ISO 17025.
• Perform routine and complex calibration on a wide variety of equipment per company processes and instruction documentation.
• Perform calibration on a variety of devices and instruments in accordance with established procedures and standards.
• Work directly with clients throughout the calibration process from first onsite touch point to completion of project, including updates to provide client status.
• Ensure all calibration activities comply with industry regulations and quality standards.
• Maintain calibration records and documentation with accurate data.
• Interact professionally with customers, providing excellent service and support.
• Travel to customer locations across Missouri and throughout the US as needed.
