Job summary

St. Michael’s Inc. is hiring a FIAR/MICP Assistant to support a DoD client. You will apply GAAP/ICOFR knowledge, prepare briefings for senior DoD leadership, and contribute to audit readiness across multiple financial systems.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor's in accounting or finance, five years of DoD accounting/auditing, and an active Secret clearance. This remote role offers competitive compensation and a robust benefits package including ESOP.

Qualifications

• Five years of DoD accounting or auditing experience and GAAP/ICOFR knowledge.
• Knowledge of OMB Circulars A-123, A-134, A-136 and related policies.
• Familiarity with DoW/Army financial management policies and procedures; personnel, inventory and property management.

Responsibilities

• Develop Financial Improvement Plans (FIP) for each assessable unit.
• Provide SME guidance to identify and correct chronic accounting errors.
• Recommend solutions to management for daily financial processes within FIAR and MICP.
• Assist in continuing audit readiness validation for assigned financial segments.
• Perform Discovery, Corrective Action, Evaluations, Assertion and Audit Sustainment efforts.
• Provide testing plans and conclude on control effectiveness based on periodic assessments.
• Support Government Financial Systems including GFEBS, DTS and GTCC.
