Job summary

SMX is seeking a Junior Federal Financial Business Analyst to join our client service delivery team. The role centers on budgeting and planning for federal customers via the BAS solution on SAP Analytics Cloud, with an emphasis on data analytics and process improvement.

You will partner with government stakeholders and a cross-functional team of designers, developers, and budget SMEs to enhance and roll out the planning application. This is a 100% remote, full-time role requiring <20% travel and ability to obtain Public Trust clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required
• 3+ years in federal financial management, business process analysis, data analytics, or related consulting work
• Experience with federal government financial data and processes
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills

Responsibilities

• Analyze financial and operational data to support strategic decision-making.
• Document business processes and requirements; develop test plans and use cases.
• Facilitate workshops with stakeholders to identify process improvements.
• Recommend solutions to improve efficiency and financial outcomes.
• Create documentation across SDLC phases and ensure alignment across teams.
