Job summary

SMX is seeking a Federal Financial Business Analyst to join the client service delivery team. The role focuses on budgeting, planning, and reporting for federal customers, leveraging SAP Analytics Cloud and BI tools. It is a 100% remote, full-time position with <20% travel and requires Public Trust clearance.

You will work with designers, developers, and budget SMEs to enhance and roll out a best-in-class planning solution, drive value, and support strategic decision-making through data-driven insights.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• 5+ years in federal financial management, business process analysis, data analytics, or related consulting.
• Experience with federal government financial data and processes.
• Proficient with MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to obtain Public Trust clearance.

Responsibilities

• Analyze complex financial and operational data to improve processes and provide actionable insights.
• Partner with government stakeholders to support strategic decision-making via data-driven solutions.
• Document requirements, design tests, and support SDLC activities.
• Facilitate workshops and collaborate across interdisciplinary teams to align business, data, and technology needs.
• Create quality documentation across all SDLC phases and develop test plans.
