Job summary

US Federal Solutions (USFS) is seeking a Mid-Level Contract Specialist / Administrator II to support the Federal Transit Administration’s Office of Acquisition Management. The role covers pre-award through closeout phases, including market research, documentation, and contract administration.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of federal contracting experience, working knowledge of FAR, and the ability to prepare and review procurement materials.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
• At least 5 years of relevant contracting or acquisition experience.
• Experience performing mid-level federal Contract Specialist or Contract Administrator responsibilities.
• Working knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulation.
• Experience supporting federal procurement actions through multiple stages of the acquisition lifecycle.
• Knowledge of multiple contract types: Firm-Fixed Price, Cost-Reimbursable, Labor Hour, Time and Materials.

Responsibilities

• Provide mid-level federal acquisition support across the procurement lifecycle—from planning to closeout.
• Assist with market research, documentation, and procurement strategies.
• Prepare and edit RFPs, RFQs, and solicitation materials.
• Review SOW/SoW and other requirements for completeness and readiness.
• Maintain workload tracking and provide status updates on actions.
• Support administration of IDIQs, BPAs, task orders, and purchase orders.
• Apply knowledge of various contract types and assist with price analysis.
• Assist with contract modifications and closeout activities.
• Analyze procurement issues and advise Government personnel as appropriate.
