Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. is seeking an Operations Technology II engineer for the Facility Operations Center (FOC). You will remotely monitor global data center power, cooling, and fire systems, acting as the first line of response when alarms fire to protect AWS infrastructure.

You will review requests from field technicians, document findings, and coordinate with onsite teams to drive timely resolution, contributing to 24/7 coverage and continuous reliability.

Responsibilities

• Analyze alarm monitoring systems in real time, identify abnormal conditions, and execute escalation processes to protect data center availability.
• Review work requests from field technicians for safety and operational standards compliance.
• Create, document, and track incident tickets coordinating with onsite data center teams for timely resolution.
• Troubleshoot mid-to-high complexity issues across mechanical, electrical, and fire-protection systems using documentation and dashboards.
• Provide process-improvement feedback to site leadership and help update maintenance procedures.
