Role

We are seeking an enthusiastic, friendly and organized exercise specialist who is passionate about treating obesity as a disease to improve the myriad chronic health conditions associated with weight‑including hypertension, type 2 diabetes, sleep apnea and more‑to join our team. In this role, you will see patients via telehealth and work with a multidisciplinary team including medical providers, and nutrition specialists to provide best‑in‑class care and outcomes for your patients - communicating with them both synchronously and asynchronously.

Exercise Specialist Duties and Responsibilities

• Evaluate client fitness level and skill set to plan reachable goals
• Educate and demonstrate to clients exercise and injury prevention
• Create a training plan tailored to client needs
• Chart and track client progress
• Motivate and encourage client through positive words via app with high level of engagement
• Adjust client personalized plans as goals are reached
• Educate clients on evidence based exercise programming.
• Adaptable to a wide range of clients of all ages based on their fitness capabilities
• Willingness to work cooperatively with the Dietetics department on patient fitness plans

Exercise Specialist Requirements and Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in exercise science, exercise physiology, or kinesiology
• 2-3 years of hands‑on experience in one‑on‑one coaching, preferably in a clinical or healthcare setting.
• Clinical experience in a related field is highly desirable.
• ACSM certification is mandatory, or required within 6 months of hire.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with Arabic‑speaking patients.
• Knowledge of the latest trends and developments in exercise physiology and fitness training.
• Ability to work independently and manage remote coaching sessions effectively.
• Empathy, patience, and a passion for helping others achieve their health and wellness goals.
• Must reside in the US or legally allowed to work in the United States (NPI required)

$22 - $31 an hour

Job Types: Part time to start (10‑16 hrs/wk)

This position offers a competitive salary of approximately $22‑31 per hour, commensurate with experience and qualifications. It is a remote contractor role requiring 10‑16 hours per week with opportunities to transition into part‑time/full‑time positions based on performance and business needs.
