Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation (WEDC) is seeking an Events Intern to support planning, coordination, and execution of meetings and events showcasing Wisconsin’s economic development initiatives. This remote-friendly role works with the Events team and Marketing & Brand Strategy to gain hands-on experience in event management, attendee engagement, and logistics.

The internship runs December 2026 – May 2027, offering flexibility for academic commitments and opportunities to contribute

Qualifications

• Current enrollment in a degree program related to event management, public relations, marketing, communications, hospitality, nonprofit management, or a related field.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and projects.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.

Responsabilités

• Support planning and execution of conferences, meetings, trade shows, exhibits, and other WEDC events.
• Assist with event registration, attendee communications, reporting, and customer service activities.
• Coordinate event logistics, materials, and on-site event support.
• Manage event and exhibit assets, including signage, promotional materials, and inventory.
• Support sponsorship administration and fulfillment activities.
• Collaborate with internal teams to promote events and enhance attendee engagement.
