Job summary

FIRST is seeking an Event Technology Manager to support clients with registration websites, new technology platforms, and data management while liaising with the event delivery team. This remote role requires EST hours and up to 40% travel.

You will lead implementation, troubleshoot issues, manage client communications, oversee databases and reporting, and coordinate with the events delivery team to ensure smooth on-site operations.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Attendee Data Management and Event Technology, including entry level meeting planning and coordination with registration and event technology
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, with a focus on Excel
• Proficiency with registration website platforms such as Cvent, Splash, Certain, Aventri, Eventbrite other registration website platforms required
• General knowledge of HTML and CSS is a plus, but not required
• Able to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Strong written and oral communication skills at all levels
• Motivated, self-starter, ability to take direction and work independently; ability to think innovatively
• Flexible and willing to work outside of normal business hours (evenings, weekends) and travel when required to be on-site at events

Responsibilities

• Implementation and project management of registration websites, apps, and other tech for events
• Troubleshoot technical issues
• Manage client communications for invites, registrations, and confirmations
• Database management to ensure data accuracy and list generation
• Communicate with clients and respond to queries within SLAs
• Coordinate with events team on logistics, production, and implementation
• Manipulate lists to give registration data and analytics
• Coordinate name badges and event signage
• Assist registration desk flow design and onsite support
• Lead attendee management and tech vendor liaison
• Create and distribute post-event surveys
• Follow SOPs, maintain event files, and ensure smooth handoffs
• Review vendor invoices: badging, attendee tracking
• Provide cost savings and value adds
• Track time spent on projects
• Train new joiners and mentor teammates
• Stay updated on technologies and trends
