Location: Remote — Europe time zones only. Employment: B2B Contract. Compensation: USD 80k–120k/year. 8+ years in distributed systems required; strong PostgreSQL, Rust, and TypeScript experience valued. 32 days PTO included.

Qualifications

• Deep understanding of distributed system architecture and design patterns that support it at scale (queues, workers, idempotency, backpressure, retries).
• Advanced data modeling and SQL skills with PostgreSQL data sets.

Responsibilities

• Own the distributed backend data engine end-to-end for precision, performance, and scale.
• Collaborate with product and engineering leads to evaluate ideas and propose architectural solutions.
• Lead by example: write high-quality code and raise the bar for the backend team.
• Integrate with third-party data sources and ensure reliable ingestion and reconciliation.
