Job summary

Vanguard College Prep is hiring full-time Essay Specialists to help high school students craft authentic application essays. You’ll conduct live 1-on-1 video brainstorming sessions and provide editorial feedback, shaping futures with strong writing guidance.

We offer 100% remote work, a flexible schedule with core hours, and competitive compensation of $20.00–$25.00 per hour for 40 hours/week, aligning with education and experience. Growth opportunities exist in a collaborative teaching culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher from US schools.
• Ideally 2+ years of editing experience, preferably in college admissions.
• Strong editing skills and mastery of the English language.
• Access to reliable internet and a quiet private workspace.

Responsibilities

• Conduct live 1-on-1 video brainstorming sessions with students.
• Edit and guide both narrative and supplemental essays on a project basis.
• Provide in-depth feedback on draft essays and perform editing as needed.
• Manage production schedules, communicate with the team, and log hours.
• Maintain professional standards and collaborate with teammates on curriculum feedback.
