Job summary

Alignerr is seeking an Environmental Engineering AI Data Trainer to stress-test and improve how advanced language models reason through real-world environmental engineering problems. You will design challenging scenarios, author benchmark solutions, and audit outputs for regulatory compliance, working remotely on a flexible schedule.

Ideal candidates hold a Master’s or PhD in Environmental Engineering or related fields, with strong knowledge in hydraulics, wastewater treatment, and regulatory

Qualifications

• Pursuing or holding a Master’s or PhD in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering (environmental focus), or a closely related field.
• Strong foundational knowledge in aquatic chemistry, wastewater process design, air quality engineering, or hazardous waste remediation.

Responsibilities

• Design advanced environmental engineering scenarios spanning contaminant transport, mass balance in treatment plants, hydrology, LCA, and more.
• Author rigorous, step-by-step technical solutions — including chemical dosage calculations, hydraulic flow models, and pollutant dispersion simulations — for AI training.
• Audit AI outputs for accuracy, safety, and regulatory compliance (EPA, ISO 14001, and others).
• Sharpen AI reasoning by identifying breakdowns and providing structured feedback to improve model performance.
