Job summary

ViaPath is seeking an entry‑level Associate Criminal Intelligence Analyst to support clients and Corrections Investigations staff. You will analyze data, generate actionable intelligence, and assist investigations within facilities or approved outside agencies, with emphasis on timeliness and accuracy.

This primarily remote/virtual role is based in the Columbus, OH area, with travel to client sites in Columbus as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or four years of related experience required.
• Criminal Justice, Security & Intelligence, or Business-related field preferred.
• 0–2 years of experience as a criminal intelligence analyst or equivalent government/military experience.
• Ability to understand intelligence processes in correctional environments.
• Knowledge of the intelligence cycle and investigative processes.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Proficiency with Windows OS and Microsoft Office.
• Ability to learn ViaPath software and third‑party tools within six months.
• Ability to work in fast-paced environments and meet deadlines.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
• Proactive.
• Ability to handle confidential information.
• English fluency required; Spanish desirable.

Responsibilities

• Analyze data to establish trends within the facility and potential areas of interest.
• Assist facility with investigations by utilizing specialized software for data mining and link analysis.
• Monitor offender telephone calls.
• Understand facility operations, policies, procedures, and data sources for analysis.
• Prepare analysis, evaluation, and recommendations for responses to intelligence.
• Proactively develop intelligence to assist facility objectives and mission.
• Submit detailed reports to facility regarding intelligence findings.
• Submit regular reports to superiors on support and benefit to facility.
• Provide guidance and training to facility staff.
• Fulfill requests for call recordings or related data as authorized.
• Participate in court or other administrative hearings.
