Job summary

GRF, Focus Partners Business Management is seeking a Royalty Analyst to join our team. You will assist with music royalty audits for clients including major artists and publishers, while handling large data sets in Excel and drafting contract summaries.

The role is based in New York City on a remote basis, with preference for candidates in Eastern or Central Time Zones. Occasional in-office visits may be required; a strong Excel skill set is essential for success.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required; Accounting, Finance, Business, Mathematics, or related degree is highly preferred.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, including Pivot Tables and formulas (VLOOKUP, SUMIF).
  • Experience or internship in music, business management, entertainment, or royalties is a plus.
  • Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail and data accuracy.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with music royalty audits for record companies, music publishers, and merchandising companies.
  • Assist with merchandise licensing audits for consumer products companies.
  • Download and summarize royalty statements and draft summaries of contracts.
  • Organize and manipulate large Excel datasets; perform data analysis to identify underpayments and create claim schedules.
