Job summary

Cognizant is seeking an experienced Enterprise Architect to lead the design, governance, and modernization of enterprise infrastructure across large IT environments. You will define current-, transition-, and future-state architectures while driving governance, standards, and roadmaps across data center, storage, and DR domains.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/IT/Engineering; Master's preferred.
• 16–20 years in enterprise infrastructure or solution architecture.
• Experience governing large-scale enterprise infrastructure environments.
• Strong data center, storage, backup, and modernization experience.

Responsibilities

• Define current, transition, and target-state enterprise architectures.
• Develop standards, reference architectures, and technology roadmaps.
• Lead architecture assessments for cloud adoption and modernization.
• Evaluate solutions for scalability, security, cost, availability.
• Ensure resilience, DR, capacity planning, and compliance.
• Lead vendor evaluations and proof-of-concept activities.
• Collaborate across teams to maintain architecture governance.
• Create architecture documentation and decision records.
• Provide senior technical leadership during incidents and upgrades.
• Identify opportunities for standardization and automation.
