Job summary

Oklo seeks an Associate General Counsel, Energy & Regulatory to lead FERC, state PUC, and interconnection matters from Santa Clara, CA or remote. The role reports to General Counsel and involves supporting regulatory filings, policy work, and cross-functional coordination on pre-construction regulatory tasks.

The ideal candidate has 7–10 years in energy regulatory practice, strong FERC experience, and a track record with interconnection processes and public policy.

Qualifications

• 7–10 years of energy regulatory experience at a large law firm or in-house legal department.
• Substantive FERC practice experience, including filings, rulemakings, and proceedings.
• Experience with State PUC filings and matters.
• Experience with generator interconnection processes or transmission access matters.
• Experience with energy-related public policy and legislative affairs.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple matters.

Responsibilities

• Lead all FERC-related legal matters and advise on interconnection processes and wholesale power market rules.
• Support energy-related public policy work and monitor regulatory rulemakings.
• Collaborate with government affairs on federal, state, and local initiatives.
• Support pre-construction regulatory and zoning work, environmental reviews, and permitting.
• Review and negotiate interconnection agreements and advise on regulatory strategy.
