Job summary

Granville Health Systems is seeking a Patient Access & Scheduling Coordinator to join the Endoscopy Center team. You will serve as the primary contact for patients, welcoming them, registering accurately, verifying benefits, collecting payments, and coordinating scheduling for procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Two years of experience in a medical office, patient registration, or surgical scheduling preferred.
• Knowledge of insurance plans, pre-authorization, and benefits verification processes.
• Strong communication and customer service.
• Ability to multitask and manage a high-volume workload.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and EHR/scheduling systems; Allscripts a plus.

Responsibilities

• Greet and check in patients in a courteous and professional manner, creating a welcoming environment.
• Obtain and verify patient demographics, insurance coverage, and required authorizations prior to scheduling procedures.
• Coordinate and schedule endoscopy procedures with proper documentation and pre-procedure instructions.
• Respond to patient calls, messages, and questions related to appointments, benefits, and billing.
• Collect copayments, deductibles, and other patient financial responsibilities at registration.
• Input and update patient information in the EHR and scheduling system.
• Maintain confidentiality per HIPAA and organizational policies.
• Collaborate with the clinical team to ensure smooth patient flow and timely communication.
• Monitor schedules to identify and resolve delays or conflicts.
• Contribute to a positive team environment and help resolve issues affecting patient care.
