This remote position requires California residency and focuses on handling employment matters, including discovery, motions, mediations, and litigation, advising and defending business owners and employers.

You will work directly with clients, develop case strategy with partners, and manage matters independently while maintaining strong research and writing skills.

Qualifications

• JD from an accredited law school.
• 4+ years of employment law experience.
• Strong legal research, writing, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage employment litigation matters from intake through resolution.
• Conduct written discovery and depositions.
• Draft motions and substantive legal memoranda.
• Participate in mediations and settlement negotiations.
• Appear at hearings and other court proceedings.
• Develop case strategy in consultation with partners and clients.
• Communicate directly with clients regarding case status, risk, and next steps.
• Participate in trial preparation as appropriate.
