Job summary

Cox Automotive’s Manheim Mobile Inspector I team seeks dependable individuals who can perform on-site vehicle condition inspections for dealer clients within an assigned territory. You will document vehicle conditions accurately and timely to support marketplace transparency and inventory flow.

As a Mobile Inspector, you’ll build client relationships, demonstrate brand integrity, and adapt to varying appointment schedules while working with minimal supervision.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 0-1 years automotive-related experience preferred.
• Valid driver's license with a safe driving record.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough vehicle inspections following Manheim inspection standards.
• Locate, start, move, inspect, and return vehicles safely on dealer lots.
• Verify VINs, mileage, sub-series, and options; ensure accurate system entry.
• Inspect exterior and interior conditions, including tires, frame, glass, panels, and features.
• Perform basic mechanical checks across powertrain, drivetrain, and electrical components.
• Document damage, missing components, or inoperable features clearly and timely.
