Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Investigate allegations of child abuse and/or neglect.
• Meet with family members to determine merits of reports.
• Coordinate with school and medical staff to gather information.
• Complete detailed assessments based on home visits and meetings.
• Develop case plans addressing household issues and safety.
• Refer families to outside resources to promote permanency and wellbeing.
• Enter case information into the computer and maintain records.
• Prepare court reports as needed and provide testimony at hearings.
• Collaborate with law enforcement, schools, counselors, and shelters.
