Job summary

The University of Virginia's Office of Equal Opportunity & Civil Rights seeks a Digital Accessibility Graduate Lead Intern to supervise a small team of undergraduate interns in a new document remediation service. You will delegate tasks, review outputs for accessibility, and manage processes.

This 10-hour/week, $22/hour internship can include remote work after training and runs through May 7, 2027. Training is provided; prior accessibility knowledge is not required, and experience with tools

Qualifications

• Education: Current UVA graduate student.
• Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn new software.
• Interest in accessibility or inclusive design; no prior knowledge required.
• Prior supervisory or project-management experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead one of two small teams of Digital Accessibility Undergraduate Interns.
• Delegate assignments, review output for accuracy and accessibility, and manage processes.
• Remediate advanced materials and coordinate with subject matter experts as needed.
• Attend and lead weekly meetings; provide feedback and track milestones.
