Job summary

Washington State Department of Corrections West 1 Everett Regional Records is seeking a Correctional Records Technician. The role maintains electronic and physical records, verifies sentences, and processes fingerprints for supervised individuals and staff.

Collaboration with CRT-L and CRS is required to ensure legal compliance and data accuracy. You will contribute to public safety by auditing documents, managing releases, and applying new laws with confidentiality and precision.

Qualifications

  • Learn and utilize computer-based applications in job duties.
  • Demonstrate mathematical skills to compute complex sentence structure calculations.
  • Ability to work with speed and efficiency shifting attention between tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain centralization of reentry facility intakes and releases with audits and document preparation.
  • Establish and validate agency jurisdiction; ensure accuracy of sentencing data.
  • Update prison movements and notify law enforcement and victims where needed.
  • Enter, audit, and quality control sentences and supervision compliance screening.
  • Process fingerprints for supervised individuals, staff, and volunteers.
  • Maintain electronic and physical records with confidentiality and integrity.
