Job summary

Lighthouse Connections Academy seeks qualified Elementary Teachers to manage online instructional programs for K–12 students from home or our Southfield office. You will coordinate with Learning Coaches and families to ensure successful progress through the curriculum.

Responsibilities include grading, progress reporting, parent conferences, and developing Personal Learning Plans. Occasional in-person events, state testing, and flexible hours may be required.

Qualifications

• Qualified and certified to teach the appropriate subject in Michigan.
• Michigan residency required.
• Strong technology skills with Microsoft Office & Google Suite.
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
• Highly organized and punctual.

Responsibilities

• Support instructional program with asynchronous web conferencing sessions and synchronous instruction.
• Grade assignments, create progress reports and conduct parent conferences in a timely manner.
• Communicate with parents, students and other teachers on a regular basis to develop and update Personal Learning Plans and schedules, score assessments, provide feedback on student work, suggest instructional approaches and strategies, monitor completion of assignments and coach special projects.
• Attend field trips and other community activities implemented for families; and other duties as assigned.
