Job summary

Stride, Inc. is seeking an Elementary Math Coach for Michigan Virtual Charter Academy. This full-time, remote-position requires Michigan Elementary Teaching Certification and residency in Michigan.

You will deliver math content online, support teachers and parents, monitor progress, and guide students toward set goals, with occasional travel for testing and events. The role offers a base salary around $50,000 per year plus potential performance bonus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field
• Five years teaching experience
• Two years coaching/mentoring experience OR equivalent
• Pedagogical knowledge of math content
• Knowledge of state content standards and alignment with K12 curriculum
• Ability to travel ~20% for professional activities
• Access to reliable high-speed internet
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word; PowerPoint
• Maintain teacher certification hours
• Clear background check

Responsibilities

• Researches and provides math content knowledge and guidance to teachers
• Coordinates pilots of instructional materials and software implementations
• Monitors student progress through K12 lessons and daily assessments
• Coordinates math intervention initiatives for grades K-5
• Collects and reviews work samples
• Alerts administrators to concerns about student performance
• Maintains confidentiality of school and student data
