Job summary

Bright Vision Technologies is seeking an Embedded AI Engineer to design, optimize, and deploy ML models for edge devices, including mobile platforms and specialized accelerators. The role emphasizes model compression, hardware‑aware optimization, and production deployment with privacy considerations.

The candidate should have 6+ years of ML engineering, strong Python and C++ skills, and experience with edge inference frameworks. This is a 100% remote U.S.

Qualifications

• Six+ years of ML engineering experience, with edge or mobile AI focus.
• Deep expertise in model compression, quantization, and pruning.
• Proficiency in Python and C++ and deployment to production on edge devices.
• Experience with at least one major edge inference framework.
• Strong understanding of mobile/embedded hardware architectures.

Responsibilities

• Design edge AI solutions for diverse hardware including mobile SoCs and accelerators.
• Apply quantization, pruning, distillation, and architecture optimization for edge constraints.
• Tune latency, energy efficiency, and memory footprint on target hardware.
• Build cross‑platform runtimes using TensorFlow Lite, ONNX Runtime, Core ML.
• Optimize models for accelerator backends like DSPs, NPUs, mobile GPUs.
• Implement on‑device model update, versioning, and safe rollout workflows.
• Design hybrid edge‑cloud architectures that degrade gracefully with connectivity.
• Build telemetry pipelines that respect privacy for continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with hardware, firmware, and product teams on device constraints.
• Implement secure execution paths and model protection on edge devices.
• Develop benchmarking suites for accuracy, latency, energy trade-offs.
• Drive on‑device privacy and bias evaluation considerations.
• Maintain architecture docs, runbooks, and configuration references.
