Job summary

Project IRIS is seeking an Earth Observation Engineer to build automated pipelines for processing Sentinel-1/2 data and to develop algorithms that detect surface changes, vegetation indices, and thermal anomalies.

The role requires a strong background in remote sensing, geoinformatics, and Python with libraries like Rasterio, xarray, or GDAL. Hybrid/remote work in Germany with visa support offered.

Qualifications

• Degree in Remote Sensing or related field.
• Experience with Landsat or Sentinel data processing.
• Strong Python with geospatial libraries.

Responsibilities

• Build automated pipelines for Sentinel-1/2 data.
• Develop algorithms to detect surface changes and indices.
• Integrate raster metadata and COGs into PostGIS.
