Job summary

micro1 is a data lab recruiting imagery annotators for navy drone and maritime imagery projects. This remote role requires U.S. citizenship and an active DoD CAC; you will review and correct machine-generated labels and add missing objects with careful attention to detail.

Work is precise and repetitive. You’ll be paid per image, with part-time or full-time schedules available. No AI experience required, but willingness to learn labeling tools and maintain high accuracy is essential.

Qualifications

• U.S. citizenship and an active DoD CAC (required).
• Experience with data labeling or bounding box annotation is a plus, but not required.
• Familiarity with aerial, maritime, satellite, or thermal imagery is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Review machine-generated bounding boxes on still imagery and correct the ones that are off.
• Find and label objects the model missed.
• Apply labeling guidelines consistently across every image.
• Work within a secure Navy environment using the provided tools.
• Maintain steady throughput — paid per submitted image.
• Flag ambiguous cases to the team instead of guessing.
• Move into video frame annotation as the project expands.
