Job summary

Peraton is seeking a Database Administrator to join a DoD-focused team. The role is 100% remote and involves mainframe work on z/OS, fostering development and database administration using Cincom SUPRA PDM, MANTIS, COBOL, and JCL.

You will support a large network of interfaces with 53 batch transmissions and prepare documentation for platform modernization. The ideal candidate has extensive experience with mainframe environments and a strong QA mindset, and will handle the maintenance of

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years with BS/BA; 6 years with MS/MA; 3 years with PhD or 12 years with a high school diploma or equivalent.
• U.S. citizenship and active Public Trust clearance are required.
• Experience with Cincom SUPRA PDM, Cincom MANTIS, COBOL and z/OS, JCL, and related database tooling.
• Ability to work independently or in a team and manage complex instructions.

Responsibilities

• Software development and database administration using Cincom SUPRA PDM, MANTIS, COBOL, and JCL.
• Provide technical support and review deliverables for system platform modernization.
• Support a mainframe system hosted on z/OS with multiple subsystems and 53 batch interfaces.
• Manage SUPRA PDM databases, COBOL copybooks, Total-File-Views, and directory maintenance.
• Evaluate database environment, document functions, and create interaction diagrams for modernization.
• Familiarity with programming languages and development tools as specified.
