Qualifications

• 10+ years in government affairs or related field.
• Strong knowledge of state legislative/regulatory processes across multiple states.
• Ability to analyze complex legislation and communicate with senior executives.
• Knowledge of the legal/operational construct of PACs.
• Proven ability to build relationships with policymakers and stakeholders.
• Ability to travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Develop nationwide state government affairs strategy aligned with GE Appliances’ priorities.
• Monitor and translate state legislative activity into business action plans.
• Represent GE Appliances before governors’ offices, state legislatures, agencies, and policy organizations.
• Build strategic relationships with policymakers, industry partners, and external stakeholders.
• Coordinate with Legal, Compliance, Product, and other functions to develop positions and advocacy strategies.
• Lead external government affairs consultants and contract lobbyists when needed.
