Qualifications

• 3-5 years of progressive experience in sales, marketing, business development, or relationship management within the public sector.
• Familiarity with investible capital markets, particularly fixed income funds, short/intermediate-term fixed income investments, and money market instruments is preferred.
• Self-motivation with a track record of securing long sales cycle mandates.
• Strategic thinking with ability to develop growth strategies.
• Excellent presentation and client-facing skills with strong investment acumen.
• Project management and organizational skills to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Analytical skills with robust quantitative problem-solving capabilities.
• Proficiency with MS Office and related technologies.
• Integrity and ability to instill confidence in clients and colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Business Development: Identify and develop new business opportunities while expanding relationships with existing clients.
• Client Engagement: Provide comprehensive service including public funds investment, education, presentations, reporting, and meetings.
• Presentations: Deliver knowledgeable presentations to Councils, Boards, and investment committees.
• Collaboration: Work with senior team on sales and marketing initiatives and ensure follow-up with clients.
• Market Participation: Represent the firm at local industry conferences and associations.
• Policy Advisory: Evaluate and advise on client investment policies.
• Customer Education: Develop methods to educate clients on current market trends and opportunities.
• Documentation: Maintain call reports, prospect lists, and opportunities in CRM (Salesforce or similar).
• Other Duties: Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.
