Capital One is seeking a Director of Data Science for Consumer and Developer Experience. You will lead an analytics and ML product team, partnering with data scientists, engineers, and product managers to deliver high-impact solutions across billions of records.

The role emphasizes cloud/open-source tech, and real-time, intelligent banking products. You’ll work in a remote-eligible setting with strong salary ranges across multiple U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field plus 9 years of data analytics experience
• Master's degree in a quantitative field or MBA with quantitative concentration plus 7 years of data analytics experience
• PhD in a quantitative field plus 4 years of data analytics experience
• At least 4 years of experience leveraging open source programming languages for large scale data analysis
• At least 4 years of experience building/deploying AI/ML models in production
• At least 4 years of experience designing and analyzing A/B tests

Responsibilities

• Partner with cross-functional team to deliver a product customers love
• Leverage Python, Conda, AWS, H2O, Spark to reveal insights in large datasets
• Build ML models through all development phases: design, training, evaluation, validation, implementation
• Translate complex work into tangible business goals

Education

Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field

Master's degree in a quantitative field or MBA with quantitative concentration

PhD in a quantitative field

4+ years of experience leveraging open source languages

4+ years of experience building/deploying AI/ML models in production

4+ years of experience designing and analyzing A/B tests
