Job summary

Insurance Office of America seeks a Director, Commercial Lines to lead national P&C operations, driving workflow standardization and scalable processes across the firm. The role partners with divisional leadership to optimize client service, performance, and shareholder value while guiding producers and operations teams.

Ideal candidate has active P&C license, CPCU/CIC, 5–7+ years in commercial lines leadership at a large broker, and strong change leadership.

Qualifications

• Active Property & Casualty License required.
• CPCU and/or CIC designation (or equivalent).
• 5–7+ years of Commercial Lines operational leadership experience within a large insurance brokerage or agency.
• Strong expertise in Commercial P&C agency operations, workflows, servicing models, and process optimization.
• Demonstrated experience with workflow standardization, operational excellence, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Experience conducting root cause analysis and implementing sustainable process improvements.
• Strong workforce planning, capacity modeling, and resource management experience.
• Experience supporting mergers, acquisitions, and operational integration initiatives.
• Applied EPIC experience strongly preferred.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and change leadership skills.
• Proven ability to influence leaders and drive results in a highly matrixed organization.
• Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute Commercial Lines operations initiatives to strengthen performance.
• Identify operational challenges and implement scalable solutions for efficiency and quality.
• Establish standardized Commercial Lines workflows and best practices across the organization.
• Lead process improvement initiatives to boost productivity and reduce variation.
• Support M&A integration through operational assessments and planning.
• Collaborate with producers, operations teams, and leadership to drive engagement and accountability.
• Promote EPIC usage and other tech to improve performance and consistency.
