Job summary

Dow Inc. is seeking PhD scientists and engineers for a digital internship across North America in R&D, ISC, M&E, IS, or EHS&S.

You will tackle diverse data-science and engineering problems to accelerate digital evolution at a global materials leader, aligning with development teams and domain experts. You will work on projects such as predictive formulations, manufacturing efficiency, and R&D software modernization, with exposure to product and process research, operations

Qualifications

Currently enrolled in a Ph.D. degree program in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, Polymer Science, Computer Science, Mathematics/Statistics, Operations Research, Industrial Engineering, Data Science, or other related disciplines.
Preferred GPA of 3.00 on a 4.000 scale.
Must be eligible to comply with U.S. export control laws.

Responsibilities

Solve diverse and open-ended problems with a high-level goal of accelerating digital evolution.
Collaborate with cross-functional Dow teams to accelerate delivery against priority projects.
Develop expertise as an industrial researcher across product, process, safety and sustainability.
Engage in projects spanning product and process research, operations improvements, and supply chain optimization.
