Job summary

77 consultants in Albuquerque, NM is seeking an Associate-level MD Radiologist for an on-site role to interpret imaging studies and deliver timely reports. You will support clinicians, participate in tumor boards, and ensure patient safety within a fast-paced radiology department.

The position requires an MD, radiology residency, and NM licensure or eligibility, with proficiency in RIS/PACS and strong communication skills. Weekend shifts are included with no on-call requirement.

Qualifications

• MD degree and radiology residency completed and board-eligible or board-certified.
• Completion of a radiology residency program with current licensure in NM or eligibility to obtain one.
• Board certification or eligibility in Diagnostic Radiology is required.

Responsibilities

• Interpret diagnostic imaging studies including X-rays, CT scans, MRIs, and ultrasounds.
• Prepare accurate, detailed, and timely radiology reports.
• Communicate critical findings to referring physicians promptly.
• Collaborate with clinical teams to support diagnosis and treatment planning.
• Participate in multidisciplinary case reviews and tumor board discussions.
• Maintain compliance with clinical protocols, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Ensure accuracy and quality assurance in imaging interpretations.
• Stay current with advances in radiology techniques and technology.
• Provide guidance to residents and junior staff as needed.
• Document patient information and maintain electronic medical records accurately.
