Paylocity is seeking a highly motivated DevSecOps Manager to lead the evolution of secure software engineering across Paylocity. This role will focus on making security an inherent part of how software is designed, built, packaged, and delivered, with an emphasis on secure-by-design practices, software hardening, trusted software supply chains, and automation.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in application security, DevSecOps, or related field.
• 2+ years people management experience.
• Experience leading security engineering initiatives and mentoring engineers.
• Strong knowledge of secure SDLC frameworks and SSDF.
• Hands-on CI/CD security in modern delivery workflows; GitHub Actions exposure preferred.
• Proven track record changing security patterns in large engineering org.
• Experience with software supply chain concepts (SBOMs, artifacts signing, attestations).
• Knowledge of SAST, SCA, secrets detection and related tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor the DevSecOps team and define the security roadmap.
• Promote secure-by-design practices across architecture and design reviews.
• Hardening of containers and base images; adopt Chainguard where appropriate.
• Establish provenance and integrity controls (SBOMs, signing, attestations).
• Embed automated security controls into CI/CD and workflows; secure GitHub Actions at scale.
• Collaborate with engineering to reduce vulnerabilities and supply chain risk via automation.
• Define metrics for secure-development adoption and control effectiveness.
• Evaluate new security technologies and translate strategy into scalable outcomes.
